TRIGGER WARNINGS: Mental illnesses, Suicidal Ideation, Self-Harm
Please Hold Me is a short narrative game where your interact with Olivier, a very anxious character who is afraid of everything. By using a unique and unpredictable non-linear dialog system, you will converse with him and become his confident. Please Hold Me is meant to be a game about the true meaning of empathy, how being there for someone means sharing their burden and knowing how to take a step back.
The dialog system of Please Hold Me is intended to be closer to a free-flowing conversation than the usual dialog trees of video games. Each topics of discussion can be only used once and will create different answer depending of the context in which they are used. The small nature of the game lets it be filled with imperceptible branching paths, meaning the player will make choices in the conversation without knowing the impacts of their decisions.
